Molokaʻi Taro Variety Field Day
An estimated 220 participants attended the field day (September 17, 2016), which included presentations on taro varieties, historic information and stories connecting taro and sweet potato to Molokaʻi, information on the role of taro in health and economic security for local families. The day also included a taro recipe contest to encourage people to find more ways to bring taro into their diets. Taro was provided to each participant in the contest by the station.
